Ecosmosis
The Ecosmosis exhibition has opened its doors to the public. The exhibition that will remain open at the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Centre until the 30th of June, brings to a close the Against All Odds series of actions and events under the title Ethics / Aesthetics.
The concept of Ecosmosis exhibition is by the architect Lina Stergiou and its creation in collaboration with the digital media artist Maurice Benayoun. Ecosmosis is a highly original interactive art environment that informs the public about ecological design in both building and landscape architecture by taking into account the climatic and cultural particularities in Greece. The interactive environment, Osmotic World, is created by reknown digital media artist Maurice Benayoun in cooperation with the inventive interactive arts group THIS.PLAY a.k.a. Antoni Rayzhekoff & Emanuel Andel. The content of Ecosmosis form eight video projections presenting seven noteworthy ecological design projects in Greece by renowned architecture and landscape design firms: dARCHstudio Elina Drosou Alexandros Bofilias C.R.E.S. – Center for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving Doxiadis+ elandscape – Ε. We're glad to present the video of last years flagship project "Erlebnis Energie".
The city of St. Veit (Corinthia) plans to be energy self-sufficient by 2020 - to be able to accomplish by this they are working for quite some time on projects to promote renewable energies: 70% of St. Veit households are heated with district heating, there are several solar- and a biomass power plant.
